My Lord of the Rings Room

Last year I did a renovation to my dining room. It was pretty much the only room that would be able to accomodate my collection.

I did all the work myself including the raised panels, the leather paint, and crown molding. It was kind of cool to have holiday meals there. At the time of these pics, I had not finished with all the painting and trim work but could not wait to see how things would look so pardon the punch list.

All the swords are real, made by united cutlery and some are even sharpened. Some are numbered and very very rare. Some are out of production so finding them is impossible. This is not the entire collection but pretty much all I had room to hang.

The map is an actual foil map of midle earth signed by all the cast members at the new zealand premiere of Return of the King.
