That first shot is truck of the month material..except...you left the tailgate down..should have removed it........but a great shot anyway..:rock:

i tried to remove the tailgate, no idea how it comes off, unless its those allen key screws.
yeah its dirty, i live in a freaking farm town, with huge hills, short of not using the brakes there is not way to keep them clean up here.

and no its tree sap!!!!

EASY-OFF TAILGATE​
Unlatch the tailgate and remove the support cables by
releasing the lock tang from the pivot, then rotate and
pull away from the box. Once the cables are free, move to
the right side of the tailgate hinge bracket.
Raise the right side of the tailgate until the right side
pivot clears the hanger bracket. Slide the entire tailgate to
the right to free the left side pivot. Remove the tailgate
from the vehicle entirely. Do not carry the tailgate loose in
the truck pickup box.

Must be more than just thick bugs...tailgate removal has been the same since the 50's. ;) Maybe even earlier but I wasn't around then...:rock:

Nice pix. Good to see you using it like its supposed to....
