nav / cd player

Just got my 05 QC SRT-10 used with 8k miles. Stupid question...I've got the Navigation system and all I can figure out is that I've only got one CD input and the Navigation System CD takes up that one input (if I choose that)...Am I missing something? I thought it was a 6 disk but the head unit gives me no info alluding to this and I couldn't find anything in the manual telling me much. Surely I have more than a single CD player with the Navigation head unit.? Is a old style CD changer hiding anywhere?

nope....1 disk only...what unit is it rb1 or rb4? both have only a single disk. just curious. 06's have the option of nav wiht 6 disk in dash changer... with yours there's an output for aux, for an old style changer.

Mine is an RB4. Single CD player; What is up with that?

I don't know jack about mobile audio but what are the options as far as using the AUX input? Plug n play if I get an old style CD changer installed by someone? I really don't want some teenager from Best Buy hacking up my interior installing something but I can't imagine only having the option of one CD...Even my old F250 had an in dash 6 disk.

thats the way they were single disk. there is an option for 6 disk in dash but without the nav. get one from the dealer. all plug n play and all install nec come with it, also will be under warranty through dodge. the rb4 has the capability to remove the disk once your location is set so you can play a cd

if i remember right once you have loaded your trip you can take out the nav cd.

Correct. You only need the disk in if it asks for it. Once it loads the disk you can take it out and play a cd while the nav unit is tracking.

Get an RF CD Changer

If you get a 10 disk RF CD changer, you can install that under the seat and use a channel off the radio, if you want the easiest way to upgrade.
