Ok folks.........Lets help our friends out.

I have spoken with Ken regularly for the duration of this battle he and Dawn have had with their health, and surgeries.

Yesterday I spoke with Ken and asked him if I could start a thread like this to help him out, and he said "no let me think about it".

Ken is a very proud man and I tried to respect his wishes. Even though I so very much wanted to do something. Shawn and I had spoken about this yesterday and we were at a loss as to what to do, and respect Ken's wishes.

Now that it is up, I can say that I fully support it.

Anyone that can help I encourage you to do so.

Ken is one of our oldest and most respected brothers.

He and Dawn are also close personal friends.

I've been wanting Ken's address to send flowers for Dawn anyway. I am not looking for recognition, I just want the funds to get to Ken and his beloved one. So with that being said I am going to just send funds to Ntwork and he'll distribute since his paypal account is splaid out big on this thread.:D I'll PM you here soon ntwork to iron out the details. There is over 1000 members on this forum....if each of us sent 1 single dollar we could help Ken and Dawn keep the beast for 2 months and or pay some their hospital bills....

Thank You all for being supportive in the cause. I told Kenny a month or so ago that I wanted to this for him. He told me the same thing he told Jack :( So I said screw it and fired this thread off hoping he would not hate me for it.
Everything said about the man is true...........he is one of our own and Nobody will leave a Marine on this battlefield, on my watch :D Come on Bastages this thread should be like 11 pages already :mad: I am also talking to all you Turkeys that rarely post and the Lurker Dork's......Help a brother out and send that check in today :rock: :rock: Mikey

Brother Mikey... Hate... not in me... humbled... yeah pretty much.
Jack has been on me like white on rice before all this happened, and Shawn, you, and a few other members here. It's uncomfortable... but I would be lying is I said we were not in trouble... 5 years of side work in real estate, swinging a hammer on my day's off work at the Firehouse... moving, saving, all to evaporate in less than 1 year. Makes me sick thinking about it.... more-so that a routing back surgery has turned into a 5 month stint of unemployment for the Mrs's (and who know's how much longer)and reduced Dawn to ambulation with a walker, and the ability to move like a 90 year old.

I told the MD, and the nurses the other night...

"You realize that you have managed to take a productive, hard working, and respected nurse of this establishment (Dawn was the Nurse of the Year in 2005 at this hospital) and turned her into a crippled, un-employed, and emotionally wrecked person." This tragedy is a direct result of the lack of aggressive identification, treatment, surgical interventions, and post-operative care given her by this establishment." Purely unacceptable, that the very society that she was so proud to represent over the year's, has the ability to let her down in such a manner." We may as well shoved her in front of a moving bus, then threw her a hard had for the impact".
"Purely a terrible reflection of this Hospital, the staff, and the doctors, who let one of their own "fall", and never offered a hand to help her up." We have had to push for eveything.... despite the fact that she is here today..... in this situation, as a result of the care given by this facility."

Then they get the "bewildered look"... and to be honest... I don't think they had a clue...till that moment... when I layed it all out there. :dontknow:
Funny though, how thing's started getting done then.:dontknow: :eek:

Not sure where I am going with this.... I am still on the 1st cup:tee:. Home Heath nurse will be here at 8am to consult, and administer med's this morning.
We spent all night trying to get Dawn's pain under control...and I believe we got it manageable.

Thanks everyone for the thought's and prayers.... they are most important.;)

I'm prayin for ya brother, but sometimes a little cash helps too! I understand how you feel, it's hard to accept other people's generosity when you are proud of what you have accomplished.

Especially when you are taking it from those you do not know, but we all know you and I think you know all of us. We are your family and we love family here. You know that....remember when Mikey was sick (er than usual) We helped him, and not one person asked for him to repay them back except for Whitesnake who asked for sex favors in return.:D

I would help any of yall that need it...and you need it. So you will get it whether you like it or not.

After all, you are the one that told Dawn everything is Okay.;) So we will make sure Everything is Okay!:)

ken paypal sent hope the wife gets better, and i pm'd you, my mother was in the same boat for months before her 1st surgery, couldnt get out of bed. if you would like they doctor im telling you about is in valdosta,ga and he fishes with my dad so i cant get something set up for you if youd like.
