Need Help.... P1494 Code

Need help guys. I started the truck up tonight and it threw this code. Thoughts? Emission's leak detection pump.

Most likely the ldp is bad, fairly common problem

Yeah I threw that same code after my first 1,000 miles on my truck as well..... I just took it to the dealer and they fixed it free

Saw on another website that Chrysler had a TSB for this on 7000 plus 2004 and 2005 SRT-10s. Chrysler states that the pump can be contaminated by water or dirt.

I'd hate to take my truck to the dealer. They would have to work on it while I watched. In addition, I have a fuel cell with a vent line hooked up to the purge canister. They would just probably tell me that I've modified the evaporative emissions system and would not be covered.

I'm throwing the same CODE and will be calling the dealership today to see if my truck came in for the TSB

TSB for P1494 is for 04 models only. it req's flashing your PCM. Beware if you have a flash (tune) and take it in for this TSB it will erase your PCM and restore it to the factory tune
