Resale value on classic chevys is always higher... Just watch ANY Barrett Jackson classic car auction.... Old Chevys have better value....

The choice of a Mopar is an emotional one.... If "Mopar or no car" is your phrase...well, it may be financially wrong, but ya gotta follow your heart....

Good luck

I do watch Barrett Jackson and a Hemi anything will outsale a Chevy everytime. Only chevy that outsold a Hemi Mopar was that olds last year that never was produced and that big bus thing this year. Mopars are cool and desired by lots of folks who want to make investments! What chevy that was sold at a dealer has sold for more than the Hemi Cuda convertible?

OH, PLLLLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAASE. Earth to mopower, come in mopower......we cannot discern your trajectory.......you seem to be hurling uncontrollably into oblivion.....hello, do you read me?....This is earth calling mopower......over.....

Seriously dude. This guy is asking a serious question and you answer with "Chevies suck!"?? Ok then, I suppose you would also prefer a 1970 Satellite over a 69 Yenko Camaro right, Mr. Mopar? Cause Chevies suck right? Sheesh, you would answer that a 1986 Dodge Omni is better than a 64 Impala also, right? I would hope the F*** NOT!!! Anyway, I think the dude is looking for opinions on what would be the better purchase, from people who would otherwise be open to purchasing either, as he is, not "what do you like." Heck, we all have opinion on what we like. We should start a thread about that. In fact, I think i will. And you are welcome to come and bust my balls just like I am doing to you here. No offense meant brother, must be the heat...and the fact that i can't stand elitist pr*cks. LOL...anyway, peace.

I am not an elitest anything. I have owned Mopars only since 1978,my family drag raced Mopars from the early 60's till I sold my Road Runner in '98. Yes I would take a '70 Sattelite over ANY camaro, and Iwould take an OMNI GLHS and spank the 409. :D Every one on here was brought together by Mopar who built the baddest truck ever built. It has taken chevy 15 years to catch the Viper with the Corvette and now it is time for Mopar to up the h.p. war. Stay tuned chevy lovers! No offense meant, just a DIE HARD MOPAR fan! Come to the Nats and see the value of Mopars for yourselves.

I was not directly calling you an elitist, although it does seem you have elitist tendencies, and I mean no insult by that, just a characteristic of the die-hard mopar afficianado. I agree with what you say about Viper vs. Corvette, and what brought us together. I am just a little more open minded as far as what type of cars I like, and you prefer only Mopar. That makes you sorta elitist, as far a autos go, and hardcore Mopar guys seem to be the hardest headed of them all. Tell you what, go find me a nice 64 409 and I'll find you a nice Omni GLHS and I'll gladly trade pinks with ya bro.

BTW, for what it's worth, the fastest car I ever raced was a 1970 Satellite, and I currently have a 1970 Road Runner father-son project in the garage, in my basement, at the body shop, etc, etc, some I am not knocking mopar at all. I just think that there is grass on the other side of the fence, and sometimes you can find greener patches here and there.

Hate to tell you bro, but that 1970 Chevelle this year trounced all other cars when it went for over a million dollars. I agree that the hemi cars generally outsell the average Chevy, but that is only because Mopar made so few, and the owners are so fanatical about those few available cars. When you pit your average "common" restored or unmolested 60s-early 70s Chevrolet against your average Mopar equivalent, the Chevy will usually have the higher resale because they are more commonly desired. So the question is, would you rather buy a 64 Polara, or a 64 Impala, I think if a guy is open to the prospect of buying either, and all things are similar and in similar condition, then you have to go with the Impala in the most sought after year ever made. Now, ask the same question about a 65 or 66 Imp vs. a 65 or 66 Polara and you may get a completely different answer. That's comparing apples and apples. Now let's compare oranges...If I had to choose between a 1969 Yenko or COPO Camaro and 1970 Superbird or 1969 Daytona, it is mopar all the way, even if I only got the 440 with an auto!!
