need help!!

What lifters are u using

I put the stock ones back in it, I was going with gts gen II lifters and the builder told me not to during break in (top much oil pressure). I have a brand new set sitting here I was going to put on when I got my heads. I still am not sure what happen.

Did you have any other symptoms. All the sudden my passenger valve cover start pressurizing I never had a tick or a knock. I took the covers off to to a compression check and found a valve not moving. It passed the compression check once I took the push rod out and the valve closed.

Worst news seems to be the metal shavings, I think it must have chewed up the cam.

Im using the gen 2 lifters as well.

No I didnt have any other symptoms. I did a pull at wot I heard a ticking sound. Everything seemed normal so I thought I blew a hole in my magnablow

But I didnt find any metal shavings in mine at all

Since yours is apart, its stuck in my mind I put this thing in sideways. Can you or do that have to line up.

I think the roller is sideways on the cam

You can put the lifter in any way. But im pretty sure the locker only allows for it to go in the proper way

Ordered all the parts that I needed today. The lifter was 18 bucks. And I was able to only order 1 head and 1 header gasket. Popular belief is that you have order them as a pair but I guess not. Most expensive part is gonna be the head bolts. Cheapest iv been able to find is about 375 for arp head bolts

Yessir you can get most parts individually from dealer and some parts places. As far as the head bolts, stock are fine on your application and I would only invest in head studs versus bolts. That would be the way to go

Im just gonna get arp. Some day itll be boosted

Get the studs, and your will need a bottoming tap to get the studs in w/o forcing them. If the motor is in the truck test fit all the studs, then take them out put the head on first then put the studs in. I thought the studs were a great upgrade over the bolts. 450 from summit racing, and yes I called arp the studs are reusable, they just need to be measured.

...and I cut the siznit out of my hand on the head gasket.
