My truck is at the dealer. They said they will not warranty my cracked rotor. They want $300 to supply and install a new rotor. I have them holding off ordering me a rotor until I talked to you guys first.

My questions:

How much could I get a new Rotor from Nappa for...Ball park?

How hard is it to install a new rotor? Does the axel have to be messed with or is it a simple pop the old one off and the new one on type of deal?:dontknow:

If anyone has a Part Number I'd appreciate it. Its the rear passenger side rotor.

Thanks !

Trying to find one on line but you can swap the rotor yourself in probably less than half an hour. Truck up, wheel off, caliper off and the rotor comes right off. I believe. I would see how much the dealership wants for the rotor itself then change it yourself.

My .02 worth.

I can't seem to find one on line anywhere. What I do find says lists all engine sizes as fitting except the high performance rear. Go figure. You might have to pay for the rotor and take it home and swap it out.

I would just let them do it. those caliper bolts have to be TIGHT!! its already there and for 60 bucks labor. save the hassle. rotor is probably a dealer item unless someone make a high perf crossed drilled.. My .02

thanks a lot for the input guys!! I didn't know how hard is was to remove one of those rotors, pulling the wheel and caliper is not a biggy to me.

bucke.....a lot of us have looked for cross drilled high perf rotors and the only ones available are replacement OEM's we can have cross drilled if we wish.

Thanks again guys!

Front or rear?

EBC lists Front Rotor Part #GD7277 Rear Rotor #GD7278. Maybe you can cross-reference other rotor manufacturers.

thanks red ram its the rear rotor. the one listed on EBC....is that the OEM part number? to my knowledge OEM is all we can get!

EBC makes brake pads right? Is a set of their bad a$$ pads the only way to get our brakes to stop squealing?

The number is from their catalog, but they are usually different from the Mopar part #. You should be able to cross-reference. Napa would be able to have other catalogs for OEM replacement rotors as well. Give them a holler.

Can't vouch for the pads, but most people like them for less dust/noise.

I stand corrected. Those part numbers say they are for our trucks. They are slotted and drilled! Looks like a special order 6 weeks out. Not bad at 170 bucks for two! I may just order these babies up for the rear pop em in....then do the fronts later on this fall. Anyone ordered and tried these out? They might cut down on the brake squel eh?

Thanks again guys!

Yes a good price indeed...Maybe one of our vendors has a contact to get them even cheaper....Worth a try :D

If you can contact a parts outlet (such that are used by shops in your area) perhaps you can get them for wholesale cost. If you know a mechanic ask him if he can get a discount. Glad to help.
