I've got mine which I replaced with a Suncoast before my Bonneville run. 40k miles on it, has a MagHytec Double-Deep pan on it, I had recently adjusted the bands and it was still shifting good before I took it out, but I got a deal from Scrambler on my Suncoast and wanted it in before the land speed stuff.
I'm in AZ, so shipping may be a little pricey, but if you're interested, PM me and we'll see what we can work out.

Converter and TV cable setups are different at least between the diesel and gas, probably other internal differences to accomodate different RPM ranges.

perhaps other transmissions that might fit and be better?
what about the allison behind the 8.1L chevy? 6 speed cant be all bad...

A chevy dealership burned up a few months ago here and they had 50 transmissions laying on the ground ( I was drooling) but you would definately have to get an adapter plate made up, it my not even fit in the tunnel, they are a little more squarish in shape, then the pinion angle would probably be affected....................I bet you could do it, it just costs $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If you could get it dirt cheap,you would have cash to mod to make it fit though,the 6 speed would be sweet,I like how those alison's shift!
