OK Scott, I thought about this and I'll look at it from a completely different point of view.

If I was on the Jury and you wore a suit, I would wonder why.

I'm guessing that some of the information that will be provided at trial, is your service to your country and that your service has been exemplary. So if you wore a suit, I would wonder or tend to lean towards the guilty because of a more than likely faulty assumption that you didn't wear the uniform to protect the Navy. I know that sounds stupid, but I believe there are people out there like that. Some may hear all the evidence and use there faulty brain to rationalize everything.

If you wore the uniform, its not that I would cut you a little slack because of patriotism or a sense of me owing you something. But what I would see is a Man proud of who he is, ready to face his accusers and not hiding.

You will stand out no matter what you do, so do it with Honor and commitment to the belief in the truth.

Wear the Uniform.

Just the humble opinion of a guy who's opinion is like everyone else's, just an opinion.

If you are the Man I have come to know in the last 6 or 7 months, I have the faith and the belief in what I know to be true. Wear the Uniform with the Distinction and Honor that you have always given it. Let truth be your sword.

You are a Officer in the United States Navy....But just not any officer....You did it the hard way, You earned it !!!! From Enlisted to Officer you are the man Bro and if you chose not to project that, then that in and of itself is criminal.

Is this a civilian court? Also, what is the charge? Is the jury all civilian? How many ladies are in the jury? Ages if known?

Jury selection is Monday. So my lawyer wants to be consistent in what I wear. If I wear a suit to the jury selection, then I need to wear one to trial. Same for uniform. This will be a civilian jury at the local court house, but since we have not picked the jury yet I can not speak as to the make up of the jurors.

Smoke, bring the honor you have earned to the Court room. Wear the dress blues. Show them who you are and they will see you as we have gotten to know you, an honorable man. Don't go to court looking like a cheap ass lawyer in a pin striped suit. Wear all the birdshit and scrambled eggs you have earned.
