Does anyone know a brand of nerf bars of sid steps :dontknow: that will work with the Ram SRT 10? The standard Ram sets do not allow the bottom of the door to clear.

Your not going to get much help on this one sailor. I see your new. I had the same question when I bought my truck but these guys talked me out of it. I'm grateful to them.

If you feel like you'll like it in the end, you should do it regardless of what anyone says. Many people develope a bias toward one particular style or look, and it can make for many cookie cutter same ole stock vehicles. Not our trucks necessiarly but any club that is based on a particular model of vehicle.

But the way out side skirting goes down below the actual body of the truck it would be very had if not impossible to find any side step bolt on to the SRT truck. I've seen nerf bars though, so it could happen. Muttvipertruck has them right?

Yeah Muttviper has some on his with some clearance between the body moulding. Not much though. I was thinking of getting the kind that self retract when the door is closed and folds down with the door open. It would make it easier for the kids getting in and out. But I have never checked into those running boards to see if they would work.

Id assume he has a qc, because it would be pretty dumb on a rc.
His has an RC but it was already on the truck when he bought it. If I remember right, he wasn't sure if he liked them. It just kind of grew on him.

If the truck is too high to get into then another option is to lower the truck. That might be easier.

I would like to lower it first also. But the 4 yr old might still need help...... then with one on the way.....then saving money for a down payment on a house....maybee one day I can get all the mods I want done.

yall leave this man alone!!!! nerf bars rock! Actually, yes mine were on the truck when i bought it and i wasnt sure if i was going to keep them. I have roughly 1/2" clearance between bar and door/body. After having them on, there is no way i would get rid of them now. 05BLACKVIPER has them on his truck as well, and it's a QC.

Mine is not lowered and my 4 year old can do it no problem.
Mine can do it but it takes forever. He is a little on the short side for his age also.:)

mopar (but I would suggest not doing it) this truck IMO should not have steps on them

Another question on nerf bars or running boards, with the chasis being a 2500 is that what we need to get or the half ton model, or is there even a difference between the two chasis?

I have purchased them before for another vehicle. I sold it before I put them on. Quality looked good and not to hard for install. But I think I saw a picture of them folded up and you could see the bottom sticking out. I would want it to tuck all the way inside. I can't remeber the other kind their is but that would be the one I would get, if I went that route. It runs the full length of the cab instead of just a foot pedal.
