Never Forget

Its hard to believe it has been 9 years since the terrorist attacks on America.
I may not be religious but my thoughts are still with the families who lost loved ones.

I will never forget, I was doing an irrigation dig at the golf course repairing a section of broken pipe when a construction worker told me a plane had crashed into the WTC. I finished the job and went to the Pro Shop to see the news and stayed there for the rest of the day with about 10 other people in dibelief as to what we were seeing.

I was doing work for a client when she came out and told me about a plane hitting the trade center..I went in to watch the news report, the second plane hit the second tower.. At that point I new it was a Terrorist attack..That was a sad day.

I was eating breakfast at my grandparents house (visiting them) and they weere watching Regis and Kelly (LOL) I just sat there with them in disbelief.

I was at home watching my son who was about to turn 1 on sept 19th and waiting for one of my fellow firefighter friends to come over! We pulled all the fire trucks out of the fire station this morning and sounded our alert tones followed by a moment of silence for our fallen brothers!

I was in a training class in Mt. Weather, Va. When the first plane hit, the guy sitting next to me got a text page from a news subscription. When the second plane hit, we all went in to the lounge and turned on the TV. My boss and I left to drive back to Boston. I will never forget stopping on I-95 in New York and looking at the column of smoke rising out of Manhattan and trailing off down the coast... and the quiet.

I went 2 days later and had a flag tattooed on my right shoulder as a tribute, so that I may never forget...

Yep. I was in college at the time. Woke up and it was being reported on the news. Joined the Marines shortly thereafter. I'll never forget.

I was in a change order meeting in Orlando and noticed the events unfold on a tv in the lobby. The world changed that day.

One of the most amazing things about that day was the way the FAA got ALL the air traffic in or country on the ground in about 2 hrs....

It was a terrible day. I just remember seeing the smoke from my window.

Largely, the feelings of unity that most felt on that day has vanished.

I was at work and was on break watching the news and it came on... my dealer is by the coast on CT and a bunch of us walked over LI sound and by that time the second plane hit... The smoke clound was so thick and tall we say it from over 50miles away.... It was so sad..

The worst part i thought was the people jumpimg from the widows my heart sank in my stomach i couldnt watch after that,


RIP any and every one effected by this .. NYP NYFD expesially after 9 years its still burned in my mind

Was in a recert class at the police academy in North Jersey, we were told what was going on, and we piled into our patrol cars and headed RT 80 east...Found out they top out around 125....Hard to talk about the rest of our day.

I was working at a start up Chemical Plant we shut the system down and sat there watching the news. That day was the reason I decided to join the Rescue squad at work and I pray for the families that lost love ones everyday.

i was late for work....doing a 3 story residential repaint....and my dad was yelling at me...and i said i'm watching the tv....something isn't right...went to work with him, listening to the radio...my girlfirend called me almost in tears...they closed the schools...she said to me, dan, i'm scared.........

I was in Sigonella Sicily launching our plane on a mail run to Incirlik Turkey. The plane taxied back to us and within 2 hours it was loaded with Marines and A platoon of Seal's heading somewhere else.

That was the most surreal experience of my life. I managed to get a call to my wife and let her know I would not be able to talk to her for a few days. They put us on quarters lock-down for 4 days, only allowed to go to the chow hall during certain times.

I was in my JROTC class in high school. I knew right then and there where I was headed.... turned to my buddy and said "we're going to war man". It wasn't long before we were both down range.
