new 1/4 mile time

The tone of these might be taken the wrong way. I thought you were making a joke about QC's being a "Grocery Getter" and I just responded to that. I just want to make sure things are not taken the wrong way. With that being said, are you running 12's on street tires?

Nope, wish I could, M&H drag radials.

This is all meant in good fun, I understand a lot of you guys are shiftless:D :D

Only 2 weeks left. Then it is game on. I'm so going through SRT-10 withdraw. I'm having dreams of driving the truck. Sometimes my wife catches me watching streetfire.net, it's so embarrassing.

You have got to be glad to get it back, I know this sounds crazy but I would not be happy to do without mine for several months.

It's killing me. I borrowed a suburban from a friend and the crankshaft broke while I was driving it.

 thanks for the tips,,but does puttihg truck in tow hual do anything,,me, iv felt that it has, iv never went to the track, but have had some fun with them mustangs,my truck is a magenet to them, i have 24 inch wheels,305/35/24 kumho tires,,i dont spin as much as with the 22 inch, and iv taken off in second once, it did great till i went to drive but past to nuetral, not good so manuel shift for me didnt work,,so does tow haul do really improve the launch, i guess till i get to a track i will know, but like to hear what you guys think.

I couldn't tell the difference between launching in tow haul or normal. Times seemed the same.

Tow haul will keep you from going into overdrive prior to crossing the finish line.

Just went to the track the other day. Best time was 13.5 at 103 mph. 60 foot times suck ass, 2.1 - 2.2. I saw the post about building up the RPM's to around 2 K. It's funny I was thinking of doing exactly that but did not get a chance to try it. If I could get the 60 foot to a 1.8 or 1.9 I think I might get into the 12's. That would be sweet. My Dad and I went down with some other people. He and I got lined up next to each other (GC SRT-8) and he beat me 2 out of three times. The only reason is me not being able to get a good launch. They were great races, both vehicles are damn close to each other. He was getting 1.9 60 ft and beating me by about two tenths. Once he got the hole shot he never got any further ahead. I was actually reeling him as we went down the track. Kind of funny. The announcer kept calling my truck the silver Daytona. Pretty fast Daytona.

2005 SRT-10 is car 102
2008 SRT-8 Grand Cherokee is car 109

Here is how I launch. Power brake anywhere from 1500-2500 RPM's (depends on track). 3rd yellow I let off the brake and roll into the throttle to WOT. If you go to hard on the throttle you will spin, to slow and the truck will shift into 2nd then downshift once you are WOT. Another option is to put the truck in 1st and shift it into Drive prior to hitting 2nd. Listen to the engine in the video. BTW these videos of me at the track was the first time I even went to the track. I started in the 14's and got it down to 12's.

SRT-10 QC doing a 12.7 run.

What mods do you have done to your truck?
Disregard, I saw your mods when looking at the video. Sorry about that.

The key is the 60's. If you can cut sub 2.0 60's then you will not off quite a bit of your 1/4 time.
