Not saying it's not a nice car, or that the Marketing department has not done a good job with the Charger and HEMI names.

I guess it's just to old fart in me coming out. HEMI's were rare, and reveried. Now they are everywhere, in everything. Not saying it's wrong. Just different. Same with the Charger. It's different, not bad or wrong.

What you probally saw was the Challenger, i saw the ford GT-500 about 1 year before they were released on insterstate 40 near the 95 trun off to Lake Havasu. It was somekind of test there were 3 ford mini vans with enough antennas to talk to China then ahead of them was the GT all with michigan plates. Cool shit to see needless to say.
