New dodge warranty WOW!!!

Anybody check out the new dodge warranty? It's unheard of.lifetime warranty on trucks and cars except srt's and diesels.Sweet.:rock:

If they would extent that warranty to the new 08 Viper, it would be incredible...but it does make some on the non-SRT vehicles more attractive as daily drivers...

its really not that great of a deal....they have it figured out folks....your not getting anything on them..you can only take the lifetime or the 3/36 bumper to bumper..not both. nowdays the most complex part of vehicles is the electrical....so if you get the lifetime warranty and your electronics craps out...guess what...your not covered....the lifetime is only powertrain...which happens to be the most reliable part of the vehicles these days.....the number one warranty claim is.........body panels.......thats right....like the stick on panels on the bottom of our trucks....so really...the lifetime warranty really isnt that great....oh yeah...and who owns vehicls for a lifetime these days.....

he's right....... first of the american big 3 to step up........ hopefully this will start a competition for better warranty coverage in the future.......

but read this on the dodge website:

Q5: When does the new warranty coverage take effect?
A5: The Chrysler Lifetime Powertrain Warranty begins at the end of the 3-year/36,000-mile Basic Limited Warranty

so.... you don't have to choose between the two.

its actually a very good deal... after the 3/36 the lifetime kicks in... every 5 years you must come in to a dealer and have your vehicle inspected, if it is not performed you will lose the warranty... the inspection is paid for by chrysler.

Does the lifetime warranty cover the Power Wagon vehicles too?

Personally its a start for the big 3 but I would rather seem them match the imports on warranties like a 5yr 60k bumper to bumper.
Or BMW's 4yr 60k (which includes brakes)
