While I generally agree with you, my approach is to avoid purchasing things that will have to go away in the future, or adding to systems that have been previously worked...

So from my perspective, the long tube headers are a small expense if done on the front end so that the exhaust part of the system is ready for whatever the future plans turn out to be. It is the same with the CAI in my mind...if you are ever going to consider forced induction the CAI would be a mod that would probably be a side step and would have to go away.

I guess the best guidance is to "begin with the end in mind."

If you know where you want to end up, the decisions in process are clear. If you don't know what you want as the final product, I opt for "never having to go back."

welcome to the mad house enjoy your new family lots of knowledge here. and one comment on the nos too nos makes me neverous with the creme puff internals so i would probably go the header way also safer hp gain nos might get you more but you have a lot greater risk of blowing something up with out going with more forged internals

Thanks for the friendly welcome. As for the pictures I will get a few on here soon as I can. I am thinking about getting headers and a different exhaust system. I think I want something a little louder then the factory one. I do not have to worry about emissions so. What brands do you guys like and dislike. Now I just need to find a shop around here to do the work. If anyone knows of any within a few hours of Southern Illinios please let me know.
