Caveman thanks for the info , on the quote but I was asking why does the Volant cause the truck to loose power.I know the vents in the hood are to take power away from the motor...
Hot air robs power. The more cool air you have in the engine compartment, the more power the engine can produce. The volant blocks a hot air exit duct (the hoodscoop).
