Well since you work nights you are forgiven. ;) :D

Yeah, the Cobra is a kick in the ass, but I still miss the truck.

I mentioned to the wife the idea of buying it back. That did not go over to well. She does not mind the idea of a work truck, but not a SRT/10.
i hear ya....... i've searched & bought alot of rigs, this ones my fav........ can't see me givin' it up any time soon.... i'm thinkin' of tradin' the wifes '04 jeep gc for one of those jeep srt-8's, for the wife - ofcourse.....:D

That certainly is named right, looks like a lot of fun and a great adventure.

Pretty neat trip.

Toughen up your tush, so you don't have to give up on a technicality.

the butt feels better this morning...:D ....

gotta say the seat in the truck is looking mighty comfy....gonna run the bike to the shop to get some new tires...:D ...but I will wait till tomorow..

John, the Alaska trip will be a full 2 weeks...will probably trailer the bikes to the CA/OR border and then start from there....I followed a thread from 2 guys who did the trip...they took 17 days but had some bad luck that held them back.....interestingly they stayed at Haliburton Camps in the extreme north as that is all there is....and the last 8 miles to the water is via guide only due to polar bears.....

My wife loves her Jeep SRT/8.

looks like a lot of fun...glad it was a safe ride... was talking about your ride this weekend...wondering how it went!!!

Hey Mike,

How long does a tire last and a tank of fuel?

We do a lot of 400 mile day rides here, some are 2 day depending on how long I am allowed out...

A great way to see the country side with all highways being avoided.

Will

Wow 400 is a bunch when you are on 2 lane roads.... ...what kind of bike?...

after a 320 mile day I was beat....but with the off road parts...320 miles is 8-9 hours....

tires....well...I ran a Scorpion sync 90/10 tire....(10% dirt)...the bike had 3000 miles on it before the trip and the tire was half done...900 miles of real hard riding later and the tires are gone...the trail riding and some roads that have been chewed up from tire chains simply ate the tires....:D

Fuel...the bike gets anywhere from 30-40 mpg and the tank is a 4.6 gal....I carried an extra 1/2 gal in the tank bag....so 180 miles is pushing it...I did plan out fuel stops before we left and never really had a problem...I did run the tank down to .5 gallon on Sunday....my new bike will have a 5.8 with the ability to easily carry 2 more....

Hey Mike, I was wondering where you have been. Glad to hear you are enjoying yourself, I hope you carry some emergency gear in case something goes wrong.
