Within the last month I purchased a 05' Quad Cab and am looking into making some changes to make it unique. I'm looking to spend about 4-5 thousand. I was thinking a DC stage 2 tune, magnaflow exhaust, K&N intake, hennessey tb, x-metal 2" drop and maybe some other odds and ends. Any opinions on what's good is appreciated. Thanks guys,

Welcome to the club......sound like you got mod fever..;) ......2 suggestions...instead of the stage 2 tune get an SCT tuner with tunes...you can flash the tune and flash back to stock......and X-Metal is not here anymore...PM Stinker for a great lowering kit...

Welcome to the forum

Welcome:rock: and congrats on the truck.

Go with the SCT for sure. Get with Marty from KRC... or Sean @ ROE Racing.
Stinker (Tony) is the man for lowering kits
DC Performance is having a sale on Magnaflow
Justin @ JMB has the sweetest CAIs

Have fun:marchmellow:

thanks guys....any personal suggestions on what works really well with the truck? any thing to definately steer away from?

Getting rid of your cats will add 20HP or so:burnout:
If you plan on going FI... forge that bad boy first

From the upstate in South Carolina. I want to make about 500 rwhp and lower the truck 2 inches. Any suggestions on motor mods to attain this? Do I need an upgraded clutch? Heard problems with oil getting in the intake manifold, do I need an oil catch can? You guys have all the information and can make this painless. Thanks,

Justin at JMB Performance and Powdercoating makes a cold air intake with a catch can. A lot of trucks here are running them and they look awesome. He is also a member here. JMB Justin.

Welcome to RBC......

1. Tune = Sean Roe (Roe Racing)

2. Magnaflow = DC Performance (Sale)

3. Throttle Body = Stinker

4. Lowering Kit = Stinker

5. Odds and Ends = Justin (JMB) and Stinker

Check the buy sell section often alot of stuff comes up usually at good prices.

Oh and if you plan on being real unique like FI I would forge first thing!

HAPPY SPENDING

Cold Air, Belanger long tube headers, high flow cats (or catless) Sct tuner and stinkys lowerin kit should net you what ya lookin for!! Think about your tranny its only a matter of time! Contact Stink for tranny upgrade parts. I'll help with installs. Oh yeah the line lock from JMB for awsome QC burnouts!!
Welcome to the FAMILY!!!!!!!!

Welcome to the club, where in SC are you? Contact Stinker, he'll steer you right. As for tunes-as said above get an SCT. Belanger headers with high flow or catless mids (ain't SC great, no inspections) and a Magnaflow is a proven combo. You should try to come to Macon on the 22nd, lots of fast trucks and great people. Look in the Get Together section for info.
