SCT tuner maybe ----Does Torrie have tunes for the r/t 10...

That's a badass lookin Chally:rock:
Dont understand why they put the 5.7 in a nice looking car like that. :dontknow:

The 5.7 will surprise you when tuned/modded right.;) ...Torrie can do a tune using a Diablo tuner....which BTW is a real tuner unlike the SCT which just stores tunes...

FNG here....

Thanks for goin' easy on me! My bro' up there ^ (VIPR PWR) indicated I might get me a ration of excrement for the M10! I tripped over a news release on it about a month ago. Emailed EVERY dealer within a 250 mile radius and guess what? NO ONE had even heard of it. The news release went out in July so I figured I was WAY behind the power curve and would NEVER find one. As it turns out...the dealer 9 minutes from my house in my town (Fayetteville, NC) has one on order. Red accents, auto (DAMN!!!). Only guy in the dealership who knew about it was the General Manager (I would have abbreviated that but am SURE I would get my tail whooped for putting those two letters together on this board!). Anyhow, vinWIN indicates D1 status in Ontario with shipment to dealer on or about 1 October...so unless some unscrupulous maggot at the dealership or some local rich kid snatches it out from under me, it's mine! I can't put a deposit on it 'til it's built out and has a dealer stock number...so that's a CONSTANT source of nail biting stress!:afraid:

It is NOT an SRT for sure. The only real performance boosts are the CAI, FUNCTIONAL T/A hood, and front and rear strut tower braces. If the 2000 MOPAR Bucks incentive is still in place in October, might go with Coil Over Suspension Kit. It is indicated that the CAI will boost it 10 - 15 BHP (not sure how accurate that is) so the auto should go 387 BHP and 398 lb-ft. I admittedly went for the combo of looks, POTENTIAL collectible status, and compromised on power (compared to the SRT's 425 BHP that is). It is getting fairly slammed (as expected) by a lot of the "other" pony car enthusiasts (not even sure the Chally should be in THAT category but that's a whole 'nother discussion ain't it)! Those who like it (me), LOVE IT! I had my eyes on the R/T Classic before this thing popped on the radar screen...

My bro' pointed me here 'cuz y'all know what your talkin' about! Insights on general stuff is MUCH appreciated! I'm gonna' try and steer clear of Mods that require hammers, chisels, dremels, and drills:cool: ! I'm on the Challenger forum as well but don't know anyone well enough to trust or respect their input yet..

 OOOOOOOOOOOOwwwwwwwwwwwweeeeeeeeeee.
it's real, here's the press release and all you fuggers had the price wrong about 4/5 months back when we talked about this. Some said 55, some said 70/75... http://www.mopar.com/m10/pdf/mopar_dodge_challenger_rt.pdf

The U.S. Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) for Mopar ’10 is $38,000 for an

automatic transmission and $39,000:rock:      for a manual transmission. Both prices include
$750 for destination. Customers may pre-order now.

Shoulda had a V-10, and they shouldn't call it a R/T 10 because that automatically makes anyone think it has, well, a V-10!

They should at least put a SRT 8 6.1 in it. Why is it called an R/T 10? Kind of like false advertising, no 10, no 6.1 HEMI. If your going to make a special edition, make it special. Please Chrysler - put the SRT 8 package 6.1 HEMI into a RC Ram R/T. Please, I'll be the first in line.

I use to live in fayetteville, NC when i was stationed at Ft. Bragg. I had a yellow and black 60 trim SRT-4 that ran mid 11's. There was a huge article on me when I got front ended by a drunk driver and put in a coma, sat in the hospital for a month in a half. You may remember that if u were around 2 years ago. I may have some friends that can point u in the right direction shop wise for tuning.

It looks good....but once again MOPAR put the wrong power plant in a bad ass lookin ride! kinda like the rumble bees and daytonas...all looks nothin else.
with all the extra 8.4 L left over they coulda really made a monster and a GT500 killer! I love Dodge/Mopar..but I think this is why they were going outta business....poor decision making!

 That's how they bend the consumer over. Build something that's considered "limited edtion" and false advertise it to get people racing to have one, which is justification to jack up the price but then build it with no real power plant that is worthy of the package. Then the novilty wears off, the "oooo's" and "ahhhh's" eventually cease long before the loan is paid off and the owner realizes that they probably should have waited. :dontknow: Can you tell that I'm losing faith in American car manufacturers?

I would rather have a V-8 if I was buying a Chally.....and rather see the 6.1 only available in the SRT so it keeps it status...unless the 6.4 becomes the SRT engine....which it is supposed to soon....:)
