What's up guys I just picked up a silver 05 reg cab with 61k on the clock , it's got bassani headers and mbrp 4"(I think) single exhaust out the back, a k&n Fipk , I've installed a catch can on the passenger side VC, just received my Sct tuner, waiting to buy a tune , and the sound system goes in next week, other than that , whoever owned it before cut the factory stereo harness and bypassed the infinty amp, I bought and installed the stock sub but no power to it so I'm just going to install a 5 channel amp to it , I'm looking for a bump steer kit maybe a cat delete kit and a rear leveling kit , my other truck is a 99 dakota rt 360 magnum with some mods and spray !

Congrats on the pick up. Do a audio thread I'm very interested in what you do as audio upgrades. I've been wanting to do my audio but I can't make up my mind if I'm gonna go small or something on a little loud side.

I will , I'm going with the new pioneer (7800) flip screen w/ Rockford fosgates power series 6x9s on the door, on the back I'm still debating on switching the stock 5 1/4's and the dash tweets, I'm also waiting on the 5 channel amp to power everything up, should I leave the stock infinty sub or bump it up to 2-10s or 2-12s ?

I'd definitely try to upgrade the sub. Im a pretty big car audio fanatic and love all types of builds from full spl, sq to your normal everyday budget build. I have a quadcab and space is an issue for me when it comes to subs so I'm not sure what you can fit in a reg cab and give it (the sub) a good spec out box. I'm sure you can fit a nice shallow mount 10 or 12 and still get a good box with enough airspace to make the sub sound real good.

I'm gonna try the infinity if I'm not happy I'll have to order a custom box or have one made , all my other cars have loud systems in it with subs

If ur gonna add a 5 channel amp are you using a aftermarket HU or using a processor/line out to get signal?

I already bought the pioneer 7800 flip up and the 6x9 fosgates

Nice, I'd probably upgrade the sub since you are running a 5channel and upgraded the HU and speakers. im not sure if the stock sub can take any decent power. Keep me posted I'd like to see how it comes out.

I picked up the pioneer gm d9605 5 channel amp today

That 350rms should get the stock infinity sub moving a decent amount. Does our truck run CAN-bus?
