Sitting at the exhaust shop waiting room now. Getting the bellanger mids replaces with mandrel bent steel pipe, and in place of the cats, T304 stainless cutouts. The 2.5 inch bottleneck at the magnaflow catback is being replaced with a magnaflow x pipe. I know the muffler has one built in. Will get some sound clips in a few.

Well the spacing on the two pipes where they come together for catback, was too much for the magnaflow x pipe. They ran out of time to fab up an H to get rid of the 2.5 inch bottleneck but it still came together pretty well. i will be going back for that next week. There is a noticable decrease of low rpm tq with the cutouts open compared to with the cats installed. Not enough to complain about because when the rpms get up there i think it may pull a little harder. My dyno shop had a dyno day today, (say that three times fast) but i got there about 15 minutes too late to get before and after pulls on it. I will try to get up there next weekend and get a graph of them open and closed.

I think the cutouts sounded better on my 05 with them placed after the x pipe. However, It is louder right after my headers and much deeper. Ive had 4 people ask me since i got it back, did i go off and get a cam installed today. No shit!... The truck sounds great idle, is unbelievable at full throttle, and gets even more insane above 4k rpm. Cruising and on decel isnt as pleasing to the ear, but i may could get used to it. The first second on decel after the popping it sounds really deep, smooth and aggressive. The explosions you can feel on your chest. At idle there is a massaging vibration, as the cutouts are down firing right under the driver and passenger seats. There isnt a resonance or any rattles, but it really feels like your in a performance machine.

Here is some shitty videos with my phone. The first one is at idle. I didnt have anyone to rev it up. Its so deep and loud when i shot it under the truck, it distorted the hell out of the sound, and doesnt do it justice.

This is 1st and 2nd gear pull on a wet road with the windows down and back glass open. I had to ease into the throttle on each gear to keep the truck straight.
