The truck is home with Stinker's new axle package....

I believe this is the first QC install....like all projects...nothing went as planned...:D

but in the end all the little fixes were minor and inexpensive....

for QCs the parking break cable needs to be replaced with a custom (DTS is handling this for future orders)...

As far as ride height....no lowering blocks are needed for a lowered stance....the spring perches are on the bottom and with QC leafs the truck has a perfect stance....

new U-bolts and plates will be ready for the next QC customer....

As far as the axle...great quality....much lighter (the brakes alone have to be 40+lbs lighter for the pair) and no "locker" noise....when it unloads just sounds like a hard shift....

driving the truck to San Diego tomorrow for break in, the zoo, a visit with the boys and to pick up the 33" tall Hossiers.....

will post picks once the tire are on...

Sounds nice Mike....Roadie to Az so I can take her for a spin down Firebird...Only 12 miles from the Casa :D  I have Corona's in the fridge ;)

Mike....:(

Youre really making it hard to keep up you know! Now all I need is a Million Gagillion Dollars so I too can have the Fastest Quad Cab Ever!:D:D:D:D

By the way, some day when you get bored can you send me a list of major items you have modded? I am basically gonna copy cat your truck, only it will take me much longer and I am keeping the wing!:D

I'm anxious to see how much difference it makes in you 1/4 mile time...:burnout: :burnout: :burnout:
Am I wrong in my understanding, that the new axle provides better time via use of better wheels and tires?

I know the new axle is stronger, and that is why I will get one (hopefully next year).

You can run true slicks, hence you will have traction.

Very good news Mike, now with real drag slicks you should be able to up the shot a little more. Who knows if you keep going you might be the first SRT in the 9s.

Bill.

I measured wrong..........for a QC.......

Mike (Nowwhat) came by with his lovely lady Yvonne, who I had the pleasure of meeting for the first time today.
Yvonne is drop dead georgous, and a very sweet lady.

We trial fit the Bogart Wheels and Hoosiers, and the sidewalls are too close to the auxiliary helper style spring on the Quad cab. I did not know that there was any differance between s RC and a QC as the person I asked said there was no differance. Now I know.
This is no big deal as we just need to get a small wheel spacer.
I tried to get Mike to leave them with me and I would run them to Bogart in Phoenix Monday to be cut apart and the center repositioned, rewelded and repolished. Mike would not hear of this.
The spacer route is OK and is approved by NHRA. I have run them myself over the years.

What a really nice truck Mike has put together. It is a real credit to him and DC Performance.

What a treat to meet Yvone, and see Mike.

Mike, Yvonne, Kevin (Vodoo), Jose, Patrick and I went to the roadhouse grill after the trial fit and threw peanuts at each other and had a good time. Thanks all it was a very pleasant afternoon.

NEVER......:D .

the axle got 300+ miles of freeway driving today so I figure we are all good...you can feel the locker when making a hard turn out of a driveway...and by feel..I mean you chirp a tire a little... ...kinda cool...my mpg was down .5 mpg but today was the first time in a year that I ran the freeway with the A/C on....figure that was the difference....:dontknow: ...2 blocks from home I got on it and there is simply no wiggle in the tail....just 2 laser straight lines o' rubber....

1. Detroit Locker provides equal power to both wheels
2. Capable of running true slicks
3. Stronger gears and axle
4. Any differential ratio you want
5. 100 lbs net weight savings
