NEW Suncoast 48re Transmission

Great transmission. Mine is still running strong and hitting hard with no issues.

BTW, Taliban Dan in GA can install it for you (whoever buys it) too. He's done mine twice.

He's at a new shop now where he has more freedom to do performance work.

Any mention from Suncoast on stall speed for the converter?

They can make any stall speed you desire, if you want a different stall. Or go with a different converter (company).

I am very interested in your tranny!! I was wondering if you found out if the warranty was transferable? The only thing i dont really like is the low stall? Is there anyway I can get higher? Thank you

You don't want it too much higher if you are going to drive it anywhere around town. But to each their own....

It will be hard enough to launch with the 2600 stall. I believe stock is around 1400.

Good call Bones!! I dont know what I was thinkin!! Ive been lookn at drag cars on ebay all day and wasnt thinkin!! So with that save from Bones I am still very interested in this tranny!! Just double checkin this will fit an 05 right? Thanx again!

Mine is an 05 too.

Ron at Suncoast can also answer any question you have.

Sorry this took a while guys... warranty is not transferable.

My truck is an 05 as well. I also have the original flex plate and hub that I'll include in case it's in better shape than yours (my truck only has 25k miles).

Just a reminder, I'm selling this tranny for almost 1/2 its replacement value.

Did you upgrade your flexplate?

No. The stock one is perfectly fine, might be some slight advantage to go to a lightweight billet version but I doubt that would be worth it. I had to change mine out to use the TH400 and adapters that I put on my truck.
