Newbie question thread.....

I am not aware of a built in program that re-sizes your pictures for you. That would be news to me. I thought all avatars had to be 100x100 and under 4.9 kb. Unless your Begood and get to fly the supersized avi.:D

I noticed on the other thread you said there were 16 plus pages. Here's a way to reduce that. At the top of the screen click on "user CP" - "Edit Options" page down to "Display Options" set your post display to "40 per page" and save that. knocks the page count down considerably.

Done

Ok This one is more serious.
Calling out to NY members. I have a Florida registration until Dec 09. As my truck sits I will fail an emissions test. I don't want to conform...is there any way to get around this??? I still have a residence in Florida so I may get my sticker through the mail...not sure. I wonder how I could continue to get my registration through Florida living in NY now

You can do it online and put your NY address on it. That's what I did when I lived in VA. I had a FL drivers license with a VA address. Here is the link for the registration.

The rear cats are not monitored. The O2 sensors are in front and behind the front cats. The rear cats are pretty restrictive. Take it to your local muffler place and see if they'll cut them out and replace them with straight pipe. You can get it done for about $50 so I've heard because I would never do such a thing. :flute:

I did........

I cut 'em out and had str8 pipe installed (welded in)....... I got 02 sims from some guys in Russia..... (the guy sounded liked Boris Badinoff) I tossed the whole cats section into a box and had planned to just weld it back in on smog day.... Then repeat the process every 4 yrs...

Did you have all four cats removed? I'm guessing so since you needed O2 sims. I he just removes the rear cats then no sims needed.
