i was driving home today when my phone died went to plug in my phone in the flip up liter and no power. i loss my radio power windows and the liter i found out that fuse# 25 power input i/p (or something of them lines) was blown replaced and still nothing and fuse did not blow again

something may have gotten grounded and shorted...then fried the wires...only think i can think of if a new fuse didnt fix the problem..GL

yeah jim that didnt work its just my luck too, i guess it goin to the dealer and the changed the pcm to stock that didnt work

my gauges havent gone yet, how long was your down time?

ok it had something to do with my cell phone charger cause i pluged it in and blew the fuse in the other car. but still does not tell me what it did to my truck is there a fuse for the power windows or are they on a relay with the radio and cig liter, the one thats stright in works its the flip that doesnt

i took the shifter consol out and under that theres a box (control box) with two wide plugs where the wires go to could of that shit the bed

prolly a ground, got the same thing in the viper

Jim

Paul- I'm workin' on the same thing right now.
The "Power Outlet- I/P" (the extra one on the floor that pops up) is dead in my truck. Fuse is fine, but it's just not getting 12VDC. I'm trying to trace wires to find out why not.

Yep. All other wiring in the truck works great.

The problem I'm encountering is with the SM wiring diagrams. The wire colors they list for the outlets aren't the same as what's actually on the outlets. This makes it tough to trace stuff back.

Also, the labeling/naming of the outlets is jacked up. We have:
- Power Outlet- I/P (Instrument Panel)
- Power Outlet- Console
- Power Outlet- Rear

I'm not sure which one is "Power Outlet- I/P". Is that the cig lighter or the pop-up one?
Is "Power Outlet- Rear" the center armrest one? Or is that one for QC's?

The SM shows that the "I/P" one is switched (IGN ON), but it also shows that the switched one is "EXCEPT SRT".
None of the "SRT" wiring shows a switched outlet. It shows them all unswitched (full-time on).
I could have sworn the pop-up one was switched.

All I wanted to do was hard-wire the radar detector. LOL

Gauge cluster.. My 02 Ram did the same thing(first it was my underhood lamp then the interior then the gauge cluster lights then the headlights etc.) and its not a cheap fix. Don't let the stealership do it. They'll charge ya twice as much for the exact same thing. Also, your body control module(?? thats what they called it) might be fried.
