noise when engine is cold

So they tightened your manifold bolts and it went away???

Did yours make the sound when it was warming up and cooling down too?

I've read enough posts not to be worried about it harming anything, but it sounds REALLY crappy, ya'know?!

Yes Sir, for the most part! Still does it sometimes in cooler temps, but not nearly as much.

Mine does this when it's cooling off after operating the truck. Have never heard it on startup, but we live where it stays pretty warm most the year, and I don't drive the truck in the winters at all.

Reading this thread almost 15 years later because my 04 RC is doing this and it’s annoying. I’m about to replace the stock manifolds with Bassani headers so hopefully that takes care of it. If anyone reads this advice is appreciated!

Never noticed it happening on my truck .. now I have something else to listen for hahaha !
