Not a SRT but dammmm

Truly unique car...............simply hideous music (if that's what they call it)

But a really innovative (wow 8 turbos) Forced air system... I wonder if it works well...

The only reason to go to multiple turbos is so that you can use a smaller turbine to reduce wind-up delays and keep the boost pressure up.:alberteinstein:

BUT!!! Once you hit the set PSI, the rest gets dumped out the wastegate. I'm sure that engine would be best served with a single or dual turbo setup and probably make more power from the reduced exhaust backpressure.

Like a big heavy ricer wing, I see no actual gain over a reasonable boosted system other than a really gaudy underhood crap display...:D  :dancing2:

Thats what makes the world go round> If not for people likeing different stuff, it be a boring world if everyone liked the same thing. We all be driving Scion B's lol and listening to ABBA

Wastegates do not dump boost. They allow the exhaust to bypass the turbo. This is how the boost is controlled in a turbo application. Pop off valves bleed off the boost, and only come into affect if the throttle is slammed closed or the wastegate fails.

Not sure if that was what you meant or not, but I did want to clarify it.

Yeah, story of my life. I always get the concept but I never get the terminology.:dontknow: Get's me in troube with the engineers at work all the time.:D

The boost regulation does happen at the exhaust end (I could only imagine the bearing wear if it were constantly bleeding out the intake with the turbine screaming away under full exhaust pressure...    ).

...different stuff...
Dodge making a Viper Truck is different. Nowwhat modding the sh*t out of one is different. The Sickness is.... well... different:p. Putting 8 turbochargers on a v8 engine is (at best) a pretentious and retarded art project. :puke:

I for one drive an SRT and listen to Crass (before they got the girl singer).
