Not a Viper

What tires are you currently running, auto or stick & what HP are you at??

He is running "M&H Racemaster DOT Drag Radials", it's an automatic, and the horsepower isn't nearly as impressive as the torque. :D

Thanks to you all for your input so far. I have read and searched the things you recommended with the bars being the thing I missed.

I currently run CalTracs on the truck. They seem to help.

Current hp is a bit over 700 if you do the trap speed calculators, and Tq is unknown at this time. I will estimate it to be 1250+ ft#s. the truck weighs 7300# at the track with me in it.

The Rogue wheels look like they may do the trick. Those tires you mentioned, 394/40R17, are 3" wider than what I am currently running. That is a bunch.

I talked to a guy running a truck sort of like mine and I may need to launch harder. More boost before letting things go. So much to learn and so many things to try. Why do I have to work?

Let me know what you were talking about on the bars. I have dropped the rear end by having custom shackles built. That got it down about 1.75" and took most of the heaviest spring out. It is still there as a spacer.

Does anyone have any custom wheel suggestions. Having some made may be the only way to get this done. I have searched for this and it appears like they are not very easy to find.

If 700 hp ain't impressive, you might be a fighter jet pilot.

Pro comps are traction bars, not ladder bars with the pivoting front mount.
But when I posted that I didn't realize he had the Caltracs.

I was looking at bolt on ladder bars I thaught ,are lateral bars still traction bars or ladder bars? The ones I looked at were triangular and about 36-48" long.I will try and find them again.

These aren't the exact ones, but something similar is one one going to go with.

The difference between a ladder bar and traction bar is that a traction bar is mainly to prevent axle movement forwards and backwards along with some twisting.
Ladder bars have a pivoting front mount which allows the axle full range of movement front and back but prevents axle wrap.

You'll probably be able to find a much better explanation than mine on some of the diesel sites.

Look at the difference between these and the glacier bars I posted earlier.

I think those were the ones I was referring too but I thaught they were ladder bars and they bolted under the rear leaf with no pivot:dontknow: The pic the guy showed me were different that found them for just under $600 and the were bolt on and you could weld on also.
I just found a set the are triangular and the rear part of the bars go above and below the axel which would be better for lowered application,I will try and post pics shortly.

I posted that sarcastically, because other than the HP, people were asking you for information you had already provided.

As for not being impressed with 700hp, you don't need to be a fighter jet pilot, just and SRT10 owner. :D

How much boost did you say you were running?
