What is wrong with this picture?

RedRiverShootOut055.jpg

the Spark Plug on the right came from the 1st plug on the driverside closest to the front bumper... the one on the left is what all the other plugs look like:confused: what do yall think?

oil leaking past valve seals due to faulty guide is what i'm thinking??? Also look to see where pcv valve is dumping the oil in the intake...

I'd start with a compression test and if low followed by the better cylinder leak down test. Hopefully just a defective plug/wire or ignition coil...seen it many times. Mechanic with a proper scanner can diagnosis if it is electrical quickly/easily. Then again you can check it all yourself old school like....w/ DVM!

the pics arent real clear, but looks a touch lean bud, and the one... well I would first off check compression like chuck says. could be a number of things from ring gap to plug wire:dontknow:

9 of your plugs look like 10 of mine do.

I can't tell if the dark one (#1) is oil fouled, cold (wire/coil) or too rich by looking at the image (it looks dry) but you said there was oil on it so, case closed.

Hopefully just a bad valve guide seal; you could maybe find someone with a boroscope or buy one and have a peek inside...??? If it IS a guide, it is an easier fix than a ring, for example...

You could also try to decel (hard) on highway from a fairly high r.p.m., engine brake style, to encourage high vacuum to try to suck some oil through the guide(s) then once you have done that for 5 seconds or so, press on the throttle lightly to see if any smoke comes out of the tailpipe(s). If it does, a poor guide seal is likely the culprit.
