What is the highest octane rating that is "readily" available in your immediate area? We have 94 at Sunoco all over the place here in Northeast Ohio, but it's always surprising to see that some of you use lower octane tunes. :dontknow:

I am assuming you mean readily available unleaded...93 is the highest unleaded at the pumps........a shell station down the road from me sells 110 leaded racing gas and a performance shop about 30 miles from me sells 100 unleaded racing fuel out of 50 gal drums..

Yes, I'm thinking unleaded fuel only. And by "readily" available, I mean it's pretty easy to find in your area.... not the station that is 35 miles away and only open three days a week! :D Interesting results so far.... Why is it that this varies so much by region?

The best here in Clovis......90. Hence one reason I gave it the name in my location.

Elevation...higher the elevation the lower octane needed...my area is around 1500' so 93 is sold at almost all stations in the area...

91 at the WalMart but I believe we have 93 at the Shell. In most places here there are 3 grades at the pump 87,89,91/93 but up in Hollister,MO I stopped at a station that had 5 grades on the same pump 87,89,90,91,93. I mean who the heck needs that kind of choice?

There used to be a station about 30 miles from me that sold 100 unleaded due to the circle track being so close but it closed.

92 is the best you can get at the pumps. But race gas is sold at a station about 5 min. from my house.

In the UK we get super plus which is 98 but nobody uses it.
The regular gas is 95.
We don't have anything less.

What does it cost there ? (in US Dollars if you can :D )

Here in Jersey we used to be able to get 94 from Sunoco but they stopped offering it about a year or two ago and dropped to 93.

Most of the stations here are 93 (w/ethanol)
One of the Mobile stations here in town has a pump on the side with 104.

93 here with less than 10% ethanol.....What ever that means!!!
