That sounds about right, I figured that the Clock smith who offered 4K was gonna be in it to make a buck on the turn around!!

If you know of a reputable clock dealer here in Jacksonville Fl I would appreciate the name. I will take it to them for a good cleaning and check up and an appraisal.

Before you do write down any numbers you may find on the movement...While you may think this dude is in fact reputable, he may be otherwise....Check with the better Business people to make sure he has a good record. Do not touch the finish on the clock, you will destroy most of the value. Make sure you remove the pendulum before transport. Also make sure you get the same pendulum back after you see this guy. Believe it of not 50 % of the clock's value is in the pendulum Glad I could help
