I'm starting this Official Time Slip Thread! The time slip section is very vague, making it difficult to understand what mod's have made what truck perform at the track. Also, many of you didn't post your 1/8th mile time & MPH, so if you can remember it, or have the slip, post it. I want everyone to please reply with your BEST TRUE "NO BS" Track Times. I'm trying to get a good reference together so we can look at any given truck's times vs. mod's. Looking for:

Best 1/4 Mile Time
Best 1/4 Mile MPH

Best 1/8 Mile Time
Best 1/8 Mile MPH

What mod's were on the truck on that day. Please don't just say SC & NOS like the timeslips section, tell us exactly whats been done to your truck to acheive your best time/mph.

Also, if it was especially hot/cold that day, or if the track had a higher elevation, Tell us!

Also, I see a couple of guys who claim high 12's, or very low 13's BONE stock. Please confirm this as its not the norm. I cant get any stocker RC I've had better than a 13.4 at 106. Cyall on the other side!

Bone Stock QC

My 05 QC went 13.99 at 99mph bone stock with 37K on the ticker. This was in 95 degree heat and with a 2.08 60ft. That was also with a 5250 rev limit!!
I am tuned, catless, 3"dual, and custom air induction now and hoping for a high 12 or very low 13.;)

The mods in my RC are JMB CAI, X-Metal throttlebody, Bassani headers, PowerStick catback with 3" dual all the way to the rear, X-Metal shifter, upgraded clutch/hydraulics and SCT tuned by ROE racing. It does "I dunno" seconds in the quarter mile at "I dunno" mph. Of course, this is because I don't race it.

Mods are in my sig... other info in the timeslip section.

Your one of the rare ones that has all the info listed. Imma look you up now. I love doing this, I hope this thread takes off. I really want real-life numbers from everyone.

116mph is movin man. Technically, you should run mid-11's once you get the chassis figured out & get hooked up.

Ya, it's good for mid 11s for sure. I've only made a few passes in it... just need more seat time:)

I don't know how many hits you'll get on this thread. Some guys don't like to tell you what they have for mods or what their vehicles weigh, etc.

Here goes-

With a DC flash, K&N Drop-In Air Filter and B&B catback, 14.2 at 97 m.p.h. at 5500 foot DA and a 13.8 at 100.000 m.p.h. 3600 foot DA, with the same mods.

With Hi-flow cats, shift-kit, drag radials, Striker heads, revised DC mail-order tune (SCT) and a mild custom roller, it ran a 12.53 at 108.66 m.p.h. at 3000 feet. That was a 1.8 60' with a dead-idle launch. That run is a 12.07 @ 112.8 m.p.h. corrected for sea level.
So, high 11s at a well-prepped sea-level track with the existing mods...

The engine plan was for torque so it doesn't have a big m.p.h.

I don't have headers, ported intake manifold or a cold air intake kit. The engine has never been out of the truck. I put on a ported TB a while ago and it helped a bit.

It weighs 5,610 lbs. with me in it, no spare, tailgate in and 1/2 tank of 94 octane pump gas. That is how I race it.

Hope this helps.

Ronnie

Thanks Ronnie. Your truck runs absolutely as it should in my honest opinion, in fact thats downright sick in a QC. Man you do live in the mountains huh.

Yeah I kinda figured that about the secretiveness. Its like . . . . you know how you wouldnt want everyone out there to see a picture of your wife naked, right? Well I guess to some guys their truck & mods are THAT freaking intimate. To place a vehicle in the same category is plain pathetic. My wife calls it small-weener syndrome when guys act like that. They care way too much what other people might think if they knew everything. Its just a dam truck, why keep it secret? Oh well, all you guys with normal self esteem post your times & mods. The rest of us would really like to understand our trucks & how changes effect them. Ronnie here is a perfect example.

Man Ronnie, I hope to hold that record soon, at least for a lil while. I've honestly been chasing you and using your record as a goal with my QC. Screw all the SS Silverado, and Harley SC trucks when the 10 is where it's at. The EXOTIC sports truck for us with little man syndrome.:D I need to ask Tooloe or a couple others here that witnessed my runs what the DA was that day. I know someone had the calculator thingamagigy!

My Slip On Street Tires With a 1/2 tank of gas and Spinning The Tires And Blowing threw the clutch on the big End

Go here: http://www.dragtimes.com/da-density-altitude-calculator.php to look it up.
All you need is the track, date and time of day. The program will spit out weather data (temp, humidity and barometric pressure); Key that into the boxes and calculate your D.A. If you are already at a sea-level track and have a good air day, you can get into NEGATIVE sea-level numbers. Then the vehicles will really rock.

MOST guys don't understand just how much DA impacts performance; especially those used to running near sea-level. Guys that come here from lower altitudes pull their hair out trying to run in Calgary.
My own truck runs a 12.9 at 105 here. Bone stock QCs run low 15s in Calgary on a typical (crap) air day.
Pre 2008 Viper cars run very low 13s. About the same with the stock C6 Z06s. Many of the SRT-8s are in the 13.8 @ 99 m.p.h. range with a few mods...

I ran 13.1 @ 106 (missed 3rd). I had the D.C tune, KN ,and the magnaflows on full street trim. This was 2 yrs ago, I haven't ran it with the 150 shot yet. I may have the timeslip somewhere at home.

Bassani headers, X-Metal throttle body, SCT tuned by Torrie, 4.88 gears, 150 shot nitrous, B&M shifter, Justins CAI, Cal-Tracs & slicks, otherwise bone stock.
1/8 mi. 7.45 @ 90mph, 1.56 60'
Have yet to get a decent 1/4 mi.

Wade, we need a run with everythng connecting. You may really be in the big leagues if thats the case. get everything connected and you might see 120 mph!!

At sea level with low DA.
Mods: B&G stage 2 flash, K&N CAI, Borla Exhaust with rear cats removed. Weight around 5500 lbs.

12.7 @ 108

Same track on a hotter day.
Mods: STS turbo. Running 5 psi. Rear cats removed and no Muffler (replaced by the turbo). Everything else stock.

12.4 @ 114

I remember on PowerTour in 96 or 97 cant remember but we stopped at the mile high raceway in Denver. The track if I remember correctly was actually on a downhill slope to try and correct the altitude, but I dont think it helped much. At the time mt 95 FireTurd Formula ran consistant 8.7s 1/8 mi here at 500ft Alt track here in Texas. I ran it there in denver and I couldnt even get in the 9's. My car felt SOOO FREAKING SLOOOOOOWWW it was CRAZY. I remember having my foot on the floor and being stunned at the power loss. There was this guy from Denver who had a 96 GTS Viper, and he went with us to Kansas, and he was trippin balls at how much faster his car was at 1000ft. Man makes me glad I dont like in high elev.

i ran a 12.34 with bassani headers, cat-less midpipes, magnaflow cat-back, Roe SCT, and a K&N drop in filter. I had 26x11.5x17 MT E/T street's, with caltrac traction bars, no spare tire was the only weight reduction so race weight was about 5050-5100 lbs
