Oil Change HELP

I just got done changing the oil. I put 10 quarts in and checked to see where it's at and it's OVER the full line?! It takes 10.5 right? Any help would be appreciated.

i have a 04 and it took mine 9 quarts on the nose

8.5qt check the man. 9 at the most drain some out sucks at $6 a qt or whatever u paid.....

yeah it only takes 8.5-8.75 qts.. takes 10 when replacing oil cooler

Okay, I Just drained out 1.5 quarts I'm going to get it off the ramps now and see where it's at. BTW I took one of the empty containers and got a quart back in it. Saved me 7 bucks.

anyone ever ran amsoil?? I use mobil 1 myself too much oil and u will lose a little power...resistance...don garlits would run 1 even 2 quarts low back in the day

It's still right at the line but I think it should be okay now. I've got about 8.5 in there now.

The 2006 models take 10 Qts...that may be what confused you..

perfect check it tom. was the oil u pulled out CLEAN? if there is any discolorization use it in the wifes car i know u just put it in but it could pick up some old oil/contaniments from your pan.....idk..putting oil in my motor that i just out dosent feel right
