Oil Filter Comparison

did you also feel how heavy the filter is? the viper filter weighs so much more then the 5281090ba.

by far here is what i use in this order on my SRT,Ram and JEEP.

viper filter is what goes on my SRT
5281090ba goes on the Ram and JEEP
thoes other filters are cheap 1.99 specials. I DONT EVEN TOUCH THEM.

what do you want to use on your 10k+ motor?????

Trying to find a place to get under her. Pics no problem if I can get under there
LOLOL I hope Eddie dont see this cuz he allways is givn me crap about me not being able to fit under my truck too:D :D

jsut means we got more to love bruddha:D :D

if you have a jack, put it under the control arm or under the frame area just under the door and go that way, jsut be careful leave the tires on, and if you have stands use them

Dealer???, where can I get it today, right now it has a Mobil filter on it...pics in a sec

No stands I can get uder the door but sliding all the way to the front wheel is a little tricky. Nervous because Derek said he couldnt get the filter off and ummmm I am just a little smaller than him

So where is the drain plug in relation to the filter, I assume just in front of the tranny more towards the middle...right where my fat ass cant get to

that hickey in the middle of your pic:D

hey if you are under warranty , your rear main is leaking:p

the oil filter is in the front of the engine.

they can be a bitch to get off too bro:argh: especially if the last place tightened it up too much

No warranty
If I dont have a puddle how big a deal is it to have that rear main leak? I thought it was quite common. AND WHERE THE HELL IS THE OIL PAN, I cant see it

in your post with the pics, the pic to the far left is from the rear of the engine I would suppose the drivers side.

the bar going accross just in front of you is the front crossmember.

directly in front of that with all the oil residue on it , is the oil pan.

the bolt in the middle there, near the bottom of the pan, is the drain plug my good man:)

and youbest be saving all this money to come to panama:rock:

Stink
If I am hearing you correctly the last pic is almost a zoomed in pic of the plug??? I thought that was the tranny

I dont want to drain the wrong thing. I thought the drain plug was brass colored, shit I hate this

If that bolt (plug) is the one I need I can get to that then I just need to figure how to get to the filter which may be just a turn of the wheel

its not bad bo, dont get frustrated, your gonna learn something new today:rock:

yessir that bolt in the middle of the first and last pic is the oil pan drain plug, and no sir it want be brass.but that is the drain plug in the middle there in the first and the last pic.

lookin at the first and last pic, if you look just above your hand while under the truck thats the tranny, it bolts to the rear of thengine there,

right where the oil residue is, you'll see a small plate, from there up and back is the tranny, the large part hanging down from the engine is the oil pan.

study it a bit while under there and look from the top also, the engine block goes back to jsut about the firewall , then from there back is the tranny.

be sure to get a good oil filter wrench, I like the cloth ones that have what looks like a seat belt, not sure if wally world has them or not tho

but they use a ratchet on the bottom and grab the filter real well

OK
I thinks I can do this. Filter is going to be a bitch. What about that filter as I need one today...I want a good filter but I am not going to get a Viper filter at Wally world. Is that mobil filter good and where the hell would I get that. I promise I will be busy a while after this and leave yall alone

I have allways used the mopar filter from wally world, but mobil 1 filter is excellent too.

the mobil 1 filter they carry those at wal mart also, or autozone has them not sure about advance.

but ithink autozone has the K@n filter too.

since the dealership is closed today I think you would be fine with any of the above filters.

I gotta run and hit the road for a bit, but if ya need anything holla:D

704-214-7849, gotta pound 800 out today:argh:

lata:burnout:

trust in yourself;)

Go buy some ramps and to drive your truck up on. Be careful not to bottom out the front. You may need some wood blocks to drive on first. Hell for that matter just drive the front wheels on some phone books or something. That will give you an extra couple of inches and we could all use a few extra inches.
