Are you working with the factory lines? If so, just use a pick or small screwdriver to remove the retainer clips (as mentioned above), and the lines pull straight off.
thanks guys....for the 30 dollars....and the fact that in 15 years i've never used one of those things....i may have to put the oddball screwdrivers down and use the "appropriate tool":dontknow:
