Has anyone pulled the oil pan off a qc while its still in the truck. I have cut the welds and dropped the cross member. Now it looks loke im gonna have to lift the engine a couple inches. Am I missing something or is it the only way?:dontknow:

Seemed like a fun Monday afternoon thing to do. Ha.. sux actually

I'm trading it for a pan that already has the Paxton return line on it. I am doing a Paxton install. Yeehhh

Never done it on a QC...

On a QC, the engine needs to come nearly all the way out to REMOVE the pan. You can drop the pan to get at say the oil pickup tube, but to get the pan OFF requires some more maneuvering room than just raising it up a bit can provide. If your crossmember is already cut, that will help as well but it is a pain in the ass anyway you look at it.
