Oil temp question??

I drove a friends truck, he got an 04 like mine and noticed the oil temp never even got to 160* and engine temp was 200*, mine usually runs around the same as the coolant temp ~200*, what seems to be right?? His truck has only 5,000 miles vs my 70,000 would that matter that much?? Thanks guys:dontknow:

I have a 05 and i'm at 170 to 175.

Did the oil temp gauge move? Mine failed and so have many others.

Moved very little between highway and around town.

Mine runs 180 without a tune. Put the tune on it and it moves up to 200.

See if the gauge goes to zero overnight. If it does the gauge is working.

It depends on weight of oil as to temperature attained. Mine runs 175 ish as well. My coolant also stays at 180.

His has 0-40 and coolant was running 200-210 and oil never moved from ~155, has stock thermostat. Mine always runs within 5-10* of my coolant temperature which is what I was told its supposed to do.
