Hard to haul those extra women to the lake in a RC:burnout:Prof said:If you had a RC you could get to 6th gear and the temp drops like a rock...nothing wrong with 180-200-220.
VIPR PWR said:Okay -- The operating temp for the oil is in the range of 180 to 220 for our trucks depending on mods----would it be benifcial to try and lower it anymore than the minimum temp of 180 or would this adversly affect the life of the engine?
AWDisuzu said:oil needs to be 180 degrees minimum during normal driving, but 210-220 is best. colder oil will not pump through the engine as quickly, and it will not boil out the moisture and contaminants that build up inside the engine. if your oil never sees 200 degrees (if you have a stage2 and thermostat) you need to check and change the oil more often. water will build up inside the oil and cause low oil pressure and extremely fast wear and tear damage.
