Ok so I am doing my 15k trans service

Just talked to my service manager in NM he said that either of are viper tech's would install the transgo kit and that it would still be under warranty. Thanks for the ideal ill prolly go that way after the Phoenix GTG.

wow Valvoline atf 4. Do i still need to add the lubeguard or not. The Lubeguard also lowers temps by 10 to 15 degrees
 
I would just use the atf 4 Annu. Are you going to get a shift kit? Why would you want to change to fluid so early? I've learned that as soon as you open the trans and change the filter and fluid that the problems start to happen.

I had a TransGo shift kit installed at my 15,000 fluid change/band adjustment and am glad I did.

I've heard a number of guys with GM products say the same about their post-service problems but I've not heard it from Dodge folks and it's never been my experience. My dealership does transmission work but they've also work closely with a tranmission shop that use. My using the transmission shop for service doesn't result in a warranty problem. The shop has a lot of performance transmission experience. Because of how I drive my vehicles I get the fluid and filter changed each year. Knock on wood but I'm yet to have a problem. I'm going to continue as I have.

I have a 96 GMC with 150k on it. I have never had the trans serviced. It still works perfect. I never babied this truck either. It has been drag raced lots, and driven hard. If you like leaks, and want your trans to fail, then go ahead and open it up.

Yep Sleeper is right. I have a 1998 Dodge ram with a 5.9 liter its got 140K on it. I drive the shit out of it everyday and No problems with the tranny. And Change tranny every 20k
 
I just had the trans on my 05' QC with 26k miles completely rebuilt under warranty by the dealer in Temecula, Ca. Only took 8 days... sorry they don't pick up the rental unless you have an extended warranty. What bullshit! They said it would have cost me 3k if I had to pay for it. At least its back to shifting like a bolt action rifle and chirping the tires again, but to be honest I'm thinking about selling it because I'm afraid with my stage II program it'll toast the trans again, and next time it'll be me paying for it.

That's great and all.... but when the 5 5-STAR DCX Dealers within 100 miles don't even know the trans has bands to adjust.... :dontknow: :confused: then what???? :rolleyes:
 
the tranny service and adjusting the bands is soo easy even a sourthern alabama like Eddie does his own:rock:

Y might make a lil mess but the experience ya get doin it is worth a ton:rock:
