Not meaning to bust anyone here but I got a real complaint. I will not mention his name or location as he may really have a mental issue that needs attention. I posted an ad in the “want†section. He responded to me----not me to him. Said he had what I was looking for that his wife didn’t like the component on his truck and he had to sell it. 1st PM from him on the 14th of last month. I responded in the affirmative on the same day. He gave me a price on the 14th as well. I agreed on the 14th. Silence until the 16th and said his wife told him he had to get more money. I immediately responded on the 16th with a counter. Dead silence until the 24th and he said he was planning to let me have it at my price but was offended that I was hostile for his late response. Said he was busy at work. Ok, but I find he is posting almost daily on our forum to other postings and even posting his own. I PMed an apology yet no response. Today the 1 of December and dead silence. I was even willing to drive over 1100 mile round trip to make this work.
I have bought, sold and traded over 200 guns on the internet and never one time been treated like the man has treated me. Not one time was I burned in any of the transactions. I have also been dealing with VENOMOUS1 for the past few weeks. I even sent him a cashier’s check for over 7K and this before I met him face to face. Perfect transaction, not a glitch, perfect gentleman and certainly a man of his word. Could not be more pleased with the way he has treated me. Guess I got spoiled dealing with VENOMOUS1 and should not expect the same courtesy from this man that agreed to sell me an item then backed out. Don’t know if it was his wife telling him what to do of he sold it to someone else and shafted me. Either way, folks like give the rest of us a really bad name.
Again, sorry for the rant but I really thought this was a very special group on this site, like the guy posts, “not a truck but a way of life.†When it all is said and done, the only lasting thing we have on this earth is our integrity. Integrity with our faith, our wife, our family and with others. Hope this guy is an exception, not the rule.
