When I got my truck all 4 rotors and pads were replaced 6 months earlier at the dealer, way to much noise and dust with the OE pads. So I wanted to go with EBC greenstuff 6000 pads and wanted to know if I should cut the rotors or just give them a nice deep swirl cut for the new pads( I'm not getting any shimmy or pulsation) so I did not want to take off metal if I do not have too:dontknow:?? Thanks ................ And does anyone know the minimum rotor specs if I do have to cut them???????:tee:

I would recommend a light cut, just enough to give a flat new surface for the new pads to seat in against. If there is any kind of rust ridge or imperfection in the rotor surface it will wear that imperfection into the pads, not to mention you typically end up with noise without a cut. The minimum rotor specs are stamped on the rotor, so you can measure the rotor with a dial caliper and compare with the machine to or discard specs on the rotor. This is my opinion and what I would do if it were my truck, so take it for what it's worth. :D

I have heard that the OEM rotors are not to be turned,I went with Zeckhausen.

Rotors don't even have 6,000 miles on them, just want to change pads for better performance and less noise and dust...................

All 4 rotors are smooth just glazed, I have access to those pads and all the equipment needed at my buddies shop. Thanks for all the options guys!!!!!!!!!
