All it took was one week since I noticed the clutch had a tiny bit of play in the pedal, and now my truck wont even go into gear unless I pump the pedal. In the morning, the clutch only works with the last inch of pedal travel closest to the floor. I started to notice it about a month ago when the truck stopped shifting smoothly. Has felt like Sh t since then. Only had the clutch replaced about 5k ago. new clutch/plates/flywheel/slave/master, and now this again. Dont abuse my truck at all. Never slip the clutch either. I wish I had some cash and some time to upgrade to centerforce fidanza.:burnout: O well at least I have another 5k to come up with some cash. Goin in on wed. Ill keep ya posted.

Bro, I've said this so many times, I sound like a damned broken record.

It isn't your clutch.....................................................................

It's the clutch hydraulics system......................................... It blows....

Go to a Viper shop and have them do 2 things...........

1) Viper Coupe clutch hydraulic system modification....... It's just the Viper system+ 1 shim to adapt it.

2) re-route the clutchlines away from all heat sources and sheild them.....

Then replace your clutch with the stock one or whatever ya want.....

Yer problems with all this shit should go away virtually forever.....

Despite what some may say, I've done more clutches than anyone.... Trust me on this.

What do u mean by viper shop? I dont think the dealer would do any kind of modification like that. Im freakin broke right now, (just opened a new business) so the only option for me right now is my warranty. I could ask my dealer, dunno if they even know of this. This must be happening to other RC's.

Well, I don't know how good your dealer is..... Mine sure wouldn't work with me when it came to really fixing the problem. I meant a Viper speed shop. You may be able to find one that will work in concert with an authorized dealer. That would be ideal.... That way the shop gets to do your work "under the table" and DC doesn't know about any mods...

It is happening to others yes, but no one at Chrysler will admit to the actual cause of the problem..... hydraulics.......pure and simple.....

My first clutch went at 700 miles..... again at 100 miles....again at 1500 miles....

I hope you can resolve your issues bro....Other than that I have no more input...

Good Luck to you.

we do it at my dealership. you might have to get the parts yourself, but its an easy mod.

Roe will hook you up.Put in a Centerforce clutch and Viper master and slave cylinder.Around $1500.00.

Dude your dealer can do this mod. I had mine install the complete Roe setup with the Viper master/slave. Just order the Viper master/slave from Roe ( around $200 I think) and have your dealer install it with the new stocker they should replace. How many miles do you have? Our clutch's only have a 12 month 12k miles warranty.

Bo have the dealer change your clutch fluid and install motul 600 fluid, and make sure the line isnt close to the exhaust , try that first, and let us know, I think the actual clutch is fine.:D

Thanks guys. I'm droppin the truck off tomorow morn. I've never had good luck with the dealer actually listening to my opinions for a solution. I'll see what I can do.

Leaky master / slave! New subwoofer/ amp on order, and seatbelt retract assmb to be replaced. Now I Get to drive an 07 Caliber for a few days. WHAT A TOILET. Gotta love warrantys. My service advisor asked me to keep detailed records of the oil changes and other maint, because chrysler could hold that against my warranty. So be careful guys. Trust me, if I want it done right, I do it myself.

:dontknow: Got the truck back. Feels like a different truck. I got so used to the feel of the clutch, I have to get used to the new release point. Funny thing is, my truck feels like it has more low end power. Whenever I put my stock computer back in, I can tell my truck runs a little richer, but it feels more powerful down low than my reflashed one, doesnt make any sense. Hmm. Im gonna drive it like this the next few days and get a feel for it.

You stick with OEM replacement? Glad you have her back

Glad they fixed her up. You should climb under there and make sure the clutch lines are tied up away from the cats. There are pics on the old site about how it should look.
