Open carry vs. concealed carry

Since I have a CCW and live in an Open Carry state that requires no lic. I thought i'd post up and see what you guys think. I think there would be a lot less crime if more people open carried.

I have my ccw in two different states allowing me to carry in more states..... Open carry could make people think twice when considering targeting you or could make them go straight to you if robbing an establishment......either way someone would have a rude awaking trying me on for size cause i carry EVERYWHERE!!

yup I carry my Sig Sauer P229 and it stays loaded with hollow points..... I pray I don't ever have to use it but I shoot at least once a week incase that day does come And I practice drawing!

Most gun toting crooks are cowards... They walk into an establishment and see a gun and they walk back out. They're looking for people who cannot protect themselves to brutalize... Open Carry is my vote

I'm against open carry. Why the hell would you want someone to know you have a gun. I believe criminals would target you just because They know you Have a gun. I say leave the open carry to to law enforcement and the concealed carry to the citizens.

I'm for open carry. Mostly because I believe it's part of the "right to bear arms". It doesn't say "right to bear arms.....if you pay 150 dollars for a permit".

i think open carry is a great idea, then criminals would realize just how many people are armed and think it would deter them. Plus open carry would be so much more comfortable in the summer here in Texas.

I agree, to some extent. I think open carry should be your right, if you choose to do so. (That is how I interperate the 2nd Amendment) But, I prefer concealed carry for myself. Sometimes I carry a. 380, sometimes a. 45.... sometimes both. I prefer perps not to know for sure.

yeah .40 will get it done but 10mm makes a bigger bang i bought a .44 mag a few months ago too but havent started carring it yet.

CT sucks open carry is not allowed, neither is concealed, their retarded, if you do carry it must be concealed, but you can lose it if anyone sees it, I hate this state

To have so much rich history from the Revolutionary war you would think that personal freedom would be real high on the priorities but it seems more and more that the new england states are moving toward nanny-state socialism

and worse yet I work directly across the street from COLT, ct makes no sense, we can build them but try to own one is overly hard, 150 for a class, 170 to state and town for background, then another 70 for license then you have to renew every 5 years, and you can get it revoked just if someone sees it outside your home and not on a range, can you tell they annoy me
