i need a few body parts.
in new york you have the right to not get your car fixed.
so i took the 4500, cash. and i am going to do this myself.

i need to pull the fender,
replace the bumper end,
decide how to fix the hood, am thinking of getting one from stinker.
replace the tail lights, are there any of the led's that are bright?

two new tires.
and think about the rim.... it looks like a case of bad curb rash covering about 1/8 of the rim. not noticeable till your right on it, so i might just leave it.

today will be the tires. two hankooks, unless it starts to rain.
strip off the bumper cover on that side.

any ideas where to get the bumper cover end?
anyone parting out a red 10? that would save me some painting...

They're not cheap, but probably have what you're looking for !!!

That small dent!! I'd putt it out before i put a bedside on besides you can hide most of it with the bumper end piece.. get behind it with a rubber mallet and smack it below the bodyline.. Mine was worse than that and I fixed it, with very little filler... You'll make a mess cutting off the bedside..
Good Luck...

thats what i thought, most of it is below that line, whats above it seems to be ok. i do need to straighten the pin that holds the bottom of the tailgate on.

freaking been raining here everyday for the past 3 months.......

do i need to drill holes for those metal clips that hold the plastic panels on? or are they on a hemi too?
any idea on what the price should be?

if there are welds on the top, are they on the front as well? how about the bottom?

Yes, you have to unbolt the bed and slide it back and to the side to get to the spot welds down the front edge. There are also some around the wheelwell lip and under the taillight. The rest is snugged with a little glue that can be heated off with a little propane torch. If the pin that holds the tailgate is bent you need to straighten it or replace it or yoour taligate won't be flush with the bedside and you'll need the tailgate flush to align the new bedside. If you are happy with repairing the dent since most is hidden go for it. You may realize you've spent more time repairing vs. replacing though. Good luck and fell free to ask more questions as I have done at least 50 of these bitches although it's been a few years ago. You don't know how many people with trucks hit the poles at McDonalds, Taco Bell etc. in the drive thru. Seen more than my share, and I'm like " you don't need a truck if you can't make it though a damn drive thru or park correctly in a parking spot, Fking stick shift"!

plastic part is 250.
taking the truck to finish the rest of the body work. $1000 with the new hood sprayed and installed.
so the truck will cost me about $2000 to bring back to 100%

it started hailing, it coated the road and round and round i went.
i was headed toward the guardrail. no way to stop in time, so i chose to go ass first into it.

do you always choose to go ass first into hard things:p

You spun out due to Hail?

Well...I damaged my trucks rear end also. It was estimated at approx. 5,000 bucks....you should have sent it to the Body Shop. It's been over a month since my truck rolled backwards into a ditch and she is better than new now! Good luck Brother...

The damages I had...all of the cladding from the rear doors back, the passenger side bed quarter panel, the front bumper (from the curb it went over and its lowered.) and the exhaust was bent. They replaced all of the cladding and repainted everything!

i worked at a body shop. thats how i knew what to get done so it would be cheaper. now its going to a body shop.

the gap by the bed is off too, about 1/4 wider on the pass side, they are going to fix that too.
i might hold off on the hood. i am not 100% on that being my first major mod.
i might spend that allotted cash on a flasher instead.

in 4 weeks it will look good as new.
best part is the shop i am taking it to, the owner is a mopar nut. he is about to buy a new Challenger srt8. has 3 dodges now. so i know he will want it tio be right.
