kenne bell only makes one for the car, looks like truck has already been modded so start on the car. I do understand the hesitation of being the first 100 to mod a new motor especially a DD. Kinda like the first people to pump our trucks and scatter them all over the street. i love my truck but if i had gotten a gray or black one i would have painted it Plum Crazy, B5 Blue or Go Mango besides, the car is already close to where the truck was new, HP wise, and faster ET wise, so lets go with the one that has more product support for the future I'm just jealous, your back on the Xmas list, but i have no money for presents………...
Ha ha yeah. I have thought about it but like I said I'm more worried about the transmission being able to hole the power. Once I'm sure it can I'm down for it, but I did pay for the extended warranties due to my uncertainty on this transmission. I will be doing some tasteful mods to the car like a catch can and bigger/wider tires. From what I have read people put the CAI on it, and if they do not go with a legmaker intake they actually lose power over the stock option. To do the only intake that has shown to gain you power from a CAI standpoint you have to cut inner fender wells and remove the front braking air dam. I have no want in cutting up a car I'm making payments on Also other than paint the truck is all stock.... well and the fact I trashed the shitty Pirellis and am in love with the generals I put on it.
Interesting.... how much Horsepower gain? was it a 5.7l hemi or a 6.4l? and are these the same 8 speed transmission? I ask because the hellcat and mine both have an 8 speed, but they are different and the hellcats tranny is beefier. My dealership told me last night that if I had decided to buy their hellcat on the lot instead of this one when it came in (I special order the color and it is no longer able to be ordered. order timeframe was Sept 1st- Dec 7th) they were going to order the kenne belle setup, put it on a scatpack and sell it at a way higher price. Apparently mine was in the front running for this because of color. Only Charger in STL area (there is 1 challenger) that I am aware of.
Rams only come with the 5.7 - been waiting for a 6.4 but they won't make me one. I don't know about the tranny differences between the cars and the trucks but based on how they have been in the past I would assume that the truck version is built differently. I would be interested in finding out the difference between the hellcat tranny and the standard tranny.
Are they still making the Hellcat Ram? I thought that one was gonna get the supercharged 6.4L treatment?
You can get a 2500/3500 in a 6.4L I believe... I work for enterprise fleet so I see them quite often. I can't remember which or if both though
Call me an idiot if needed, but can someone enlighten me on the differences on SRT, 392, and Scat Pack? The Hellcat engine is obvious, but what comes in the others.
SRT is the department responsible for the performance vehicles Chrysler puts out, there is also the SRT8 trim level, 392 is the cid for the 6.4L Hemi and Scat Pack is a 6.4L Hemi equipped RT.
So, say I go to order a Charger or Challenger, my choices are: a) Non-SRT v6 or whatever b) SRT8 (6.1 I assume) c) SRT8 392 (6.4) d) SRT8 Scat Pack (also 6.4) e) SRT8 Hellcat (wet dream) Is that the current lineup?
It would go as follows: Base/sxt 3.6L v6 I'm not sure if they still have the SXT plus that comes with a 5.7L hemi in here rt 5.7L hemi rt scat pack 6.4L hemi SRT 6.4L hemi Hellcat 6.2L supercharged hemi. There are tons of options like track pack, etc. One more thing to add is the 6.1L hemi has been dead for about 4 years now.
They are so much fun to drive tho that you forget about the comfort. Sent from my SPH-L520 using Tapatalk
