Our stock converter stall speed?

Can anyone tell me what is our stock converter stall speed? Also our tranny is a 48RE modified right?
 
48re----POS! Never shoulda been put in our trucks! $10k liability if u are gonna be serious about your mods. My friend just smoked his and all he has is exhaust,headers,intake,flash....7k miles

take it easy..:D ...the 48Re does it's job well...it isn't Dodge's fault that we turned off the trq management and added 200 rwhp.....the 48re's core is solid it just needs a little love if you are going to be hard on it...
 
Its a diesel tranny....doesnt take the Revs well....My friends only got like 40 or so extra horses but the TQ management is the killer. They shouldnt use a tranny that cant take the stock HP without detuning the truck for shifts IMO.

So are you saying there shouldnt be an automatic srt-10 :dontknow: :confused: :D :p :p (this should be a good one)

less trouble with the autos then with the 6 speeds::D

Clutch
Master/slave
3rd gear
crappy shifter
 
Im sure there is a tranny out there (auto) that can handle 500 crank horsepower no prob....these trucks were "thrown together" in some aspects and the tranny is one of em. Had the tranny on the shelf so they dicked around with it and made it work. I think they call it a "specially tuned" heavy duty diesel tranny.....aka "rigged"....Once you slap that built tranny in tho.....its real nice

Theres lots of trannys...turbo 400 will do just dandy, just ask Jack:D
