P0307

Don't want to cause any consternation...but I always worry and spend a little extra time when a plug "has lost its gap"...one of the reasons among others that this happens in impact...just recommending caution...

Gary, Thanks for the help bro:rock: I got caught in the rain on the 4th for a few minutes.. I guess my vec got a little damp I took it apart and used a hair dryer. I put it back together and worked like a charm:D What do I need to get it in the cab?

You will need a longer harness, Roe has them!!

Mine did the same thing but for #10. I removed the battery cable, cleared the code, re installed the VEC card/tune and all has been fine since.

Note: I had been cleaning the motor before this hapened, so I believe I either got something wet or knocked it loose!!

I think I was told by Roe that the extra 10 or so feet of harness is $100.

Got out in the truck today and the CEL came on again and guess what P0307:mad: I don't know what the heck is going on.. I noticed when I poped the hood to check the vec out it was extremly hot..Hot enough that I could not touch it.. Is it made to withstand the heat under the hood in the summer time:dontknow: I am thinking about sending it to have it upgraded to the III. Will I have to have it retuned for the vec III?

Yes Kyle, I believe the tuning is different for the VEC III. I am thinking about ordering the harness and moving mine into the cab. :dontknow:

I think I will move mine in the cab also.. Where do you run the harness through the cab at:dontknow: If you remember joe was having problems with my vec not taking the programs. He used one of his customers to get my tune right. So I guess I should still at least have this one sent off and worked on:(
