Well im packing up the truck to go to my grandmothers farm in Arkansas and tennessee state line ..in a little town called McCrory Arkansas ,,i have spent the afternoon writing a eulogy for the preacher ,for my Dads funeral,he is to have a full military funeral ,,thanksgiving really sucks this year and so will Christmas.But I'm fulfilling the last promise i made him among the ones that were the hardest thing i will ever have to do ,,He was a grade A hardass at times and he was the kindest man i have ever known many more times ,,And i will miss him !

Here is part of it ;
To my Dad ,,there were time we fought like hell together,there were times we cried like a thunderstorm together ,there were times we laughed so hard my stomach hurt together,but the best times were when we just sat in chairs on the beach and watched the waves roll in and roll out and said nothing but a nod or a wink to each other together,,and i will miss you !

I never really know what to say in situations like this.
Have a safe trip and do what you need to do. I'm sure he would be proud.

Sorry for your loss and be safe in your travels. I lost my grandfather a year ago on Christmas day, I know how it can be tough to lose someone close in the Holiday times. Certainly does make things even more difficult. God be with you and your family.

Godspeed, & I couldn't have said it better! Have a safe journey. Whwn I was 18, my 'ole man had to be one of the dumbest sumbitches on the planet, when he passed he was one of the smartest, kindest persons I had ever met! Amazing how he "changed" overs the years cuz I am still the "dumb shit" I was way back when.....

Sorry for your loss and hope you have a safe trip. Wisdom is not explained, only recognized. :)

sorry to hear this bro , now your the guy in his steps keeping the family strong and his service to the country will be remembered by all . have a safe trip james

Very sorry for ur loss its never easy to loose someone wether its a parent, sibling, child or friend but they are loved ones because they changed our lives for the better and because of that we will never forget them and they will live on forever in our hearts and minds good luck going forward

Sorry for your loss man. sounds like he was a good man, make him proud and have a safe trip

James, your Dad would be proud of your Eulogy. Your words express a young Man's feelings of his father. It is what your heart and mind feel and it sums it up. If you ever need a friend I'm only a couple hours away James. Please have a safe trip and let your mind recollect the great times.
