Yea, Im still under warrenty, but the problem is I work here at the service department, and my District rep is an a$$, and doesn't like "refurbishin employee's vehicles." So I guess I'm gonna call my insurance and file it against comp, thank god i elected that $0.00 ded 2 months ago!!

dude f$*k your rep bro, you have a dodge vehicle still under warranty, if you can, take it to another dodge dealer, or even worse case senario, i will give you my info for evidence that this is covered under warranty.

I wish it was that easy, but for me he's the signature that pays my whole departments warrenty tickets, so if I piss him off, he can decline like $130,000 in 6.7 diesel tickets every month. I try to avoid his dumb a$$ at all cost, but there are like 20 DC dealerships in the area, I might try and find one of em to take it. Thanks for the advice,:D we will just see, it really just pisses me off that this has happen with as easy as i am on my truck:mad:

you sign a work order you are a CUSTOMER. no matter where you work.
have had the same prob over the years at the Pete dealership. if the rep was a real yaya i would drop a dime to a higher up & either his altitude would change or would be introduced to a new rep.
to have to worry about if claims would get denied because one is worried about pissin off the rep is not a professional way to do business.
just my .02 worth

I hear ya bro, but with the amount of money my service department puts into these damn 6.7L diesels, I don't have much room to light fires under these DM'S A$$'S. It's just gonna go against comprehinsive on my insurance, won't raise my premiums, so I just gonna take the high road on this one:argh:

UPDATE

I just spoke with our DM last Friday, he took some pics of the three rims that are cracking. He couldn't find any impact damage, but he will not replace the rims, just repair. So I'll see how they look and update with photos:rock:

That's what was on the truck when I bought it, the trucks an 05 RC, I'm the second owner, only had 6k on it in June when I bought it:dontknow:

Something ain't right.

They DO look like they are coated with something other then clear coat? Maybe it's just the pictures?

The inside of spokes look like they are painted with metallic silver paint?

I worked 35 years for a major paint company, now on disability, but I was a application specialist for industrial, OEM and marine coatings.

I wish I was still working, I would have a chip tested for you.

Could just be corrosion lifting the clear with aluminum disbondment.

To make a long comment even longer.....

It just don't look right in the pictures.:dontknow:

I just looked at the pictures with them zoomed to 400% still looks like paint.

Are they Mopar rims? I know you bought truck almost new but...?

Check out one of the chips if you can.
Break in half and look at edge profile.

Does it have a clear top and silver appearing ONLY on the bottom?
or is it silver top to bottom? Use a magnifier if you have one.:dontknow:

It looks to my untrained eye that it's a clear coat with metallic flake sprayed in it. The chips that I peeled off is almost transparent, you can see through it. So I don't know, and then to top it off today I frkn curb checked my passenger rear rim at the narrow ass lanes at the bank:mad:

Well good news finally. About 2 months ago I got a new manager here in the service department, and today I was talking about my rims and the damage on em, and he went and looked at em and told me that tomorrow I would be able to make a ticket on em and send them out to be repaired:rock:
I'll post some pics when all is finally done:marchmellow:
